Here’s what’s been going on…

They say a picture is worth a 1000 words and we’ve got lots to tell you, almost too much to be honest and that’s what has caused the delay to posting so it’s time to play a little catch up and also unviel what’s been keeping us busy since March

Winter break over & we’re back!

Firstly: Thanks for hanging in there! I know thing have been more than a little quiet on the site and that’s simply because there’s not been a lot going on with the renovation, due to the weather in France. The good news however is we’ve not just sat back, we’ve been planning, organising & generally beavering away, and next week

A few things about this trip were special, this was our first ever Christmas at the house, previously it would have been far to cold in the house (with

Old wooden beams – Free to a good home!

During the dismantling of the cow shed we removed 10 timbers that have stood for years. These are approximately 17cm wide by 8.5cm deep by 423cm long (all are approx. as these all vary a little) and we aren’t going to reuse them for the foreseeable future and would rather someone get some use of them. Unfortunately I can’t tell

I also said i’d never travel with them again due to the chaotic nature of

Renovation Week – Day#2

Today was always going to be a quieter day on the big achievement front as being the weekend we had the football to listen to and the F1 qualifying to watch but we did make a MASSIVE leap forward on the heating of the house and this is by far the biggest step forward to the living conditions in the

Podcast Ep6 – Now in iTunes

This is the one we’ve both dreaded, the episode where we try and talk French architect, bureaucracy and our current experiences… This tips Lee over the edge!  No worries though we found the beep effect in Garage Band but it also drew some angry responses on Twitter regarding my “Architects are the problem” tweet that was sent out with it,
