  I saw the artful pictures of your ‘barn find’ on Flickr, including your request to come and take it away from you! Has someone already done that? If not, I may be interested!

  My name is Jaco Jonker, I own 2 CXes and I’ve fallen very much in love with this type of car. So much so, that I have become an active member of the Dutch club that tries to keep them on the road, the Citroen CX Club Nederland. It seems that the Dutch love this particular Citroen even more then the French, whereas the French still see the CX as ‘just an old car’, many Dutch have come to view them as classic cars and our club is a very active, over-a-thousand-members-organisation.

  The pictures you made and – I assume – photoshopped have wet my appetite big time! My first question therefore is about these pictures, not about the car itself: would you allow me to use one or more of these pictures to be printed in our ‘member magazine’, and if yes, would you be able to mail the original-sized pictures to the e-mail address below?

  On taking the actual car off your hands, assuming the offer still stands and the car is still there, I’m very tempted but since I live about 930 km away (I checked!) the state of the car does have to be worth it – in other words, it needs to be in a restoreable state! But before I’m getting ahead of myself, it would be good if you could e-mail me and tell me if the car’s still around, and then we’ll take it from there.
